As part of their RE learning, Year 4 have explored the symbols of Advent. In recognition of this, we have made our own Christingles using oranges (the world), sultanas (the Earth’s fruits), cocktail sticks, ribbon (the blood of Jesus) and candles (the light of Jesus). A huge thank you to One Stop and Spar who supplied us with the resources to make our Christingles. Pictured below is Lisa from the Rowner Spar with the wonderful oranges. We can’t wait for our Christingle on Monday which is being hosted at St. Mary the Virgin Church.
