This term, our Year 5’s COJOs learning is linked to the explorer Ranulph Fiennes. In last week’s mission, the teams had arrived in the Sahara after making it through France and Spain. There were sand storms raging, temperatures of a scorching 100 degrees and some of the explorers’ vehicles had become bogged in the sweeping sand blizzards. In order to prevent remaining vehicles from being eaten up by the sand and overheating, the teams had to fill them with water and cool them down before it was too late. The children showed amazing teamwork and were able to stay positive during the difficulties they faced in this mission.
