Today, Team Rowner gathered on the playground for a time of Remembrance. In preparation for today, each year group created a poppy wreath using their knowledge of a variety of art techniques. These were then laid around our Cross of Remembrance. Once laid, children from those year groups spoke a few words about what ‘service’ means to them. The whole school paused for a two minute silence as we remembered those who have and who still do serve in the armed forces. Our children from service families had created their own special poppy wreath to lay and we were delighted to be joined by some of the parents or these children.

Our learners who were at Butser Farm for the day also took time to pause, reflect and remember.
