Year 3 had some gruesome fun yesterday afternoon. They learned all about mummification and why it was such an integral practice to the Ancient Egyptians. To replicate the process, they started by sanitising the banana, slicing the skin and removing the internal organs. Afterwards, the children covered the skin in salt to prevent decay and stuffed the body. Lastly, we sealed the wound and placed it delicately into the sarcophagus. We showed great teamwork, creativity and positivity!
