We have fabulous school grounds (thank you Mr Riley for looking after them so well) and are lucky enough to be able to grow produce, cook it, and it too. Children learning in The Hive today had the opportunity to pick our apples, prepare them and craft them into a super delicious apple pie – yum! In addition to enjoying the eating part of this learning activity, the children developed their cutting and peeling skills too.
