Today, Team Rowner gathered for a time of Remembrance. In preparation for today, each year group created a poppy wreath using their knowledge of a variety of art techniques. These were then laid around our Cross of Remembrance. Once laid, children from those year groups spoke a few words about what ‘service’ means to them. The whole school paused for a two-minute silence as we remembered those who have and who still do serve in the armed forces. We were delighted that lots of children chose to wear their special uniforms today. Two of our Service Children, with Mrs Whiting and Mrs Mulhall will be representing Rowner Junior on Sunday at the Gosport War Memorial Service.
