We all enjoyed World Book Day on Thursday of last week. Year 4 wanted to share some of their World Book Day activities with you. The children took part in a carousel of four activities which included:

1. Reading for pleasure with an adventure story 

2. Creating a lollipop stick puppet of a favourite book character 

3. Sharing a favourite book with a friend and reviewing each other’s choices 

4. Using a picture from a book to make predictions on what one thought it would be about (this was the book that was read in station 1, so children could find out if their predictions were correct)

Year 4 was delighted that many parents/carers attended the ‘read with your child’ session in the afternoon.
