Attendance Data

We work hard to support families with attendance and punctuality and have incorporated a number of strategies to address any concerns. These include:

  • Employing a dedicated member of our team to monitor and support with attendance
  • Employing a home school link worker 6 hours a week to support vulnerable families
  • Members of team meeting vulnerable pupils and their families for a smooth transition
  • A drift in at the start of the day to reduce any tension
  • Class teachers welcoming all pupils individually into class
  • Regular updates to parents and governors in newsletters and headteacher reports
  • Weekly phone calls to targeted families
  • Subsidising breakfast club where appropriate
  • Reminder letters sent to individual parents causing concern

Our current attendance figures indicate we are improving attendance compared to our end of key stage data last year in which we had over 4% absence for all pupils. Our aim is to always have attendance over 96%.
